New Raleigh Restaurant: Pokano Poke

Hi friends and fellow foodies!

You know how much I love sharing new food finds with you guys and I recently tried a brand new poke restaurant in Raleigh that was delicious! Pokano Poke Island Grill just recently opened and it is located on Creedmoor Rd. (just a few minutes from Crabtree Valley Mall!). Definitely worth checking out!

First of all the restaurant space itself was well thought out and inviting. There are beautifully painted walls, bright colors, and plants boasting a light and fun vibe as soon as you step inside. I was also super excited about the food because there are only a few restaurants in the area that focus specifically on poke. I’ve had some great poke bowls in the Raleigh/Cary area, but the create your own option and topping selections at Pokano are unmatched.

The Pokano Bop Bowl

Along with all their signature poke options, they also have bowl options “from the grill.” Pictured above on the left, is the Pokano Bop. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. This bowl has marinated beef, sweet onion, green onions, kim chi, mushrooms, egg, rice, and pokano sauce. (A bit spicy but amazing. Will be back for this bowl specifically!) Pokano’s other bowls from the grill include options with shrimp, chicken, or egg noodle Yakisoba.
