Deck the Palms
IT’S OFFICIALLY CHRISTMAS SEASON!! No more eye rolls from the people who think it should all be saved until after Thanksgiving. Bring on alllllll the tinsel and string lights. I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and shopped your booties off during Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Now it’s time for the real glitz.
If you’re anything like me, the month of December is jam packed with events, parties, and special gatherings with family, friends, and team members. Aka: times you need something festive to wear and feel your most holly jolly in. I recently visited Palm Avenue in Cameron Village and fell in LOVE with their selection of holiday wear.
For as long as I can remember I’ve just been calling Palm Avenue “the Lilly store.” Though they have majority Lilly Pulitzer pieces, they also have other great (and less bright pink colored) brands such as Trina Turk and Draper James. I was surprised to find so many dresses that I didn’t want to live without and I think my face in the photos wearing the one I ended up buying makes that pretty clear haha.
First off, is the Lilly Pulitzer Maisel Silk Dress. I LOVED this dress. It was one of the first ones to catch my eye when I walked in. If you take a look in my closet you’ll find half my clothes are black, yet each piece oh so different. Ya can never have enough. This dress is perfect for New Year’s Eve or anything other glitzy special occasion.
My second look is no doubt, my favorite. I look like I should be spending my Christmas in The White House or with the very designer of this dress, Reese Witherspoon. Pass me a cup of tea please? The embroidery of the dress and its perfect fit blew me away. I seriously feel like I could live in it everyday pf the year. Its hints of red and green make it the perfect Christmas party dress, yet will also be my new go-to for all weddings I will be attending this year.
Lastly, is the Joella Silk Dress. The gold detailing of this one drew me in. I wasn’t sure I’d love it on, but I ended up really liking it. Another look that is perfect for New Year’s Eve or for a special birthday outing with friends.
Basically, I need all three of these because I’ve realized how much my closet is lacking pieces that truly should only be worn on special occasions. No more dressing up a pair of jeans, I wanna go ALL out. Also, Palm Avenue has super cute little black and blue dresses for making this Winter a lil spicy. Don’t let the hot pink walls outside fool you!
Happy Holidays! And don’t forget to try on some dresses that’ll make you feel like you were there when champagne was invented!
Thank you to Cameron Village to sponsoring this post!
